Mr Lester Wilson trained in London at UCLH, the National Hospital for Nervous Diseases and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital at Stanmore before undertaking his Spinal Fellowship training in Nottingham. In his NHS and Private Practice, he deals with degenerative conditions of the Lumbar Spine [Sciatica, Low Back Pain], and Spinal Emergencies including spinal injuries and infections involving the whole spine.
Mr Wilson has over 10 years experience with minimal access fusion surgery and has performed over 800 cases. He also has extensive experience of Endoscopic spinal decompressions and Lumbar Disc Replacements. He lectures and trains Spinal Surgeons in the UK, Europe, Asia and the US on Spinal Fusion surgery, Bone Biologics and Minimal Access Spinal Surgery, which comprise his main research interests.
Mr Wilson has been the UK representative for the International Minimally Invasive Spine Society since 2005, and in 2013 has been invited to deliver the Special Lecture at the Annual Meeting in Zurich. He is an adviser to several Spinal Equipment and Biologics companies including Apatech/Baxter, Medtronic, Depuy and K2M. He works with athletes in all sports, including Premiership football and Rugby teams, the English Cricket team, and English National Ballet.
