Dr Parviz Habibi qualified from Birmingham Medical School in 1980, completign a thesis on 'Learning, memory and the hippocampus'. He was the founder of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit [PICU] at St Mary's in1992 and initiated a Mobile Intensive Care service in the same year. Dr Habibi is Clinician Scientist, Reader, and Principal Investigator at Imperial College, and has been heavily involved in a randomised multi-centre trial of Heliox in bronchiolitis between 2004 and 2008.
