Mrs Sarah Hussain is an experienced gynaecologist who has been practicing privately for the last 18 years. She was appointed as a Consultant in 1995. Her main NHS hospital was Whipps Cross University Hospital, from where she has recently moved into full time private practice.
Mrs Hussain is a general gynaecologist with a special interest in Urogynaecology and Pelvic floor disorders. She specialises on operations on pelvic floor repairs, utero-vaginal prolapse, vault prolapse both laparoscopic and vaginal approach, labial operations, vaginoplasty and urinary incontinence procedures such as TVT, TVT-O.
She also has an interest in Menstrual, Premenstrual & Menopausal Disorders. She performs outpatient hysteroscopy and procedures for treatment.
She regularly performs Minimal Access Surgery (Key Hole Surgery)- For treatment of ovarian cysts, fibroids, endometriosis and pelvic floor reconstructive surgery for vault and uterovaginal prolapse, stress incontinence (tension free vaginal tapes), hysteroscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, trans-cervical resection of polyps, TruClear Morcellation of polyps & fibroids and thermachoice balloon ablation and Novasure endometrial ablations.
She routinely performs laparoscopic (key hole) total hysterectomies, subtotal hysterectomies and myomectomies.
She has been an examiner for the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology for 15 years, and was the Women's Health Clinical Governance lead at Whipps Cross . She was appointed Clinical Associate Professor for St Matthew's Hospital in Florida for her contribution in teaching.
